Boys & Girls Club of Greater Concord
Concord, New Hampshire

Evaluation, corrective design, renovation design of existing 20,000 square foot metal frame and concrete block building and the design of a 6,000 square foot addition.
Unable to meet the growing needs of the community they serve, the Boys & Girls club of Greater Concord was in dire need of a newly renovated facility.

The end result, not only beautiful, afforded the club the inclusion of a new kindergarten and other special programs. One being serving dinners to club families on a weekly basis supported by the New Hampshire Food Bank. The club was also able to comfortable increase enrollment and became a facility for club and community sporting events.
Our team was responsible for the evaluation of the existing facility, which was plagued with outdated mechanics and functions, moisture issues, high energy consumption, and structural issues. We quickly began to design repairs. We redesigned the existing building layout and provided a design for a new entrance and addition, all while seeking community, Architectural Review Board, and Planning board Approval, as well as multiple variances. With approval from all necessary parties we prepared construction documents and performed construction administration.
